Marking System:

Two semesters per year. Students are graded on the International Baccalaureate system of 1-7; grades are also translated to U.S. grading scale of A, B, C, etc. on report cards and transcripts.

Graduation Requirements:

The minimum graduation requirements for grades 9 through 12 are as follows:

  • IB Subject Groups:
  • Studies in Language and Literature - 4 years (English literature or native language)
  • Language Acquisition - 4 years (Non-native language: Spanish, French, Mandarin or English)
  • Individuals and Societies - 4 years (Global Politics, World Religions, Geography)
  • Mathematics - 4 years
  • Science - 4 years (Physics, Chemistry, Biology - all with laboratory)
  • The Arts - 4 years (Visual Arts and Music)
  • Design Technology & Physical Education - 2 years (Grades 9 & 10 only)

Outdoor education program that includes backpacking through the Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho desert and Utah Grand Gulch, overnight yurt and snow cave trips while learning about environmental sustainability and acquiring outdoor and life skills.
