Campus features

Known for its exquisite architecture, Cranbrook's campus is on the National Historic Registrar. School buildings include Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School, Middle School for Girls, Middle School for Boys, Cranbrook Lower School. The Cranbrook Residential Hall for boys houses students in four different connected halls with house advisors for each hall with common areas, lounges and recreation areas. The girl's residential hall is located on the Kingswood campus with kitchenettes, lounges and laundry facilities. Other buildings include Lerchen Hall - performing arts center, Wallace Ice Arena and the Williams Natatorium. Sharing the ground with the school are the Cranbrook Academy of Art, the only institution in the nation dedicated exclusively to studio-based graduate education in art, design and architecture as well as the Cranbrook Art Museum, a contemporary art museum featuring the work of local, national and international artists and the Cranbrook Institute of Science.
