    Marking System

    Students are graded in the following areas:  attendance, proper dress, participation, cooperation/sportsmanship/effort, evaluation of knowledge (skill tests, written tests), fitness exam (fitnessgram)

    Programs of Study

    Students are required to carry a minimum of 7 courses each year.  Most students take 8.  The minimum requirements for grades 9 through 12 are as follows:

    English - 4 years
    History - 4 years
    Mathematics - 3 years
      (Through Algebra 2)
    World Language  - 3 years
      (same language)
    Science  - 3 years
      (Biology and one physical science)
    Fine Arts  - 1 year
    Physical Education or Athletics - 2 years (six trimesters)
      (Athletic involvement in Sports, Dance, Cheerleading or PE)

    Students in grades 9 to 12 are required to perform at least 20 hours of community service per year.
