One-Year Master’s in International Business Now Available at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota

ISES partner, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota – Winona Campus, has announced that it will welcome its first cohort of international students into a new, residential Master’s Program in International Business beginning fall 2016.  The University has determined that some international students would welcome the opportunity to study in a more traditional university environment with daytime classes, available accommodation and an on-campus ESL program rather than at the SMUMN Twin Cities campus.

The twelve month, residential MIB program is a cohort program with classes beginning the 27th of August 2016.  Admission to this exciting, challenging and innovative program does NOT require an undergraduate business degree.  Other key aspects of the program include:

·         Special emphasis on the development of “soft skills,” and an awareness of the influences and implications of globalization

·         Development of “cross-cultural” communication skills

·         A culturally and professionally diverse student body with insight into varying business practices

·         Small class size with which allows for extensive student participation and faculty involvement

·         Curricular practical training option

·         Practical international business training via a two-week Field Study in Europe or Asia

Application deadline for the SMUMN MIB Program is 1 July 2016

Admission requirements for the MIB Program are as follows:

GPA:  2.75; TOEFL iBT: 79 or IELTS 6.5; GMAT not required; WES evaluation required.

Students who do not have the requisite English proficiency may enroll in the on-campus De LaSalle English Language Institute with start dates in spring and fall semesters.

Cost for the entire 12 month program is approximately $28,275 TRB
